Tongue twisters are really frustrating for some of us. I've been  working hard on some of them lately, but I'm not of nimble...uh...mouth parts.  She sells sea shells by the shesoar... She sells she shell... She's shell... FUCK. Let's do some non-confusing talking: This is just silly: the guy doesn't even know where his hat is supposed to go! Who are you? Whaddaya do? When did you start doing it? My name is Chris Rutledge and I am a full time touring musician.  I did my first tour playing in a death metal band called structure of lies when I was 17. You have a song called "Be My Witch?" and another called "Black Witch". What does "witch" symbolize or mean to you? Do you currently have a witch? I guess it's just the type of girl I find attractive, and yes, I do have a "witch".  There's been a huge surge of outlaw country-folk-punk fusion in the last 10-or-so years. Do you see yourself as a part of that scene? ...I hear more blues influences in your stuff than a lot of that crowd's typical songs... Either way, what influences your stuff? Not at all.  My main influence these days is just living on the road... Favorite videogame growing up: Mortal kombat  Are you originally from the desert? ...What are your favorite and least favorite things about Mesa, AZ? I am. I was born in a little town called Las Cruces in New Mexico.  I've lived in quite a few different places though, being an army brat.  There's not really anything I don't like about Arizona.  Some like it hot... How the tour going? How many dates? Anywhere you're particularly stoked to play? It's going....Kiel Grove and myself have been taking it on the chin over here on the west coast.  We can't wait to get out of this part of the country! Kiel Grove and myself have around 50 or so shows on this particular tour.  We're always excited to get down to Texas and play.  And, we look forward to playing dreyfest for y'all!!!
